Here are some of my favorite authors and my “two-cents” on a few of their books. For a personalized recommendation to help you with your situation or personal growth, please email me and I will be happy to tell you which book or books I think you’d benefit the most from.

  Wayne Dyer

Dr. Dyer has several books and CD’s that I like. You might want to check out: “You Can Be Happy No Matter What”, “What Do You Really Want for Your Children?”, and “Choosing Your Own Greatness (Audio CD)”.

  Iyanla Vanzanta

Iyanla typically writes for women, and for Black-Americans, and she also has a few books for men. If you’re going through a really difficult time and you feel like your life has simply been a series of problems, I recommend “The Value in the Valley”, and “Faith in the Valley”. If you’ve had a tough time in your love relationships, “In the Meantime” might help you understand what you’ve gone through (and are still going through). If you are a man, you might enjoy “Up From Here”.

  Don Miguel Ruiz

I think Don Miguel's original book, “The 4 Agreements” is still one of the best I’ve ever read. I recommend it for almost anyone. I would definitely start with that one before moving on to his other books.

  Zig Ziglar

If what your looking for is more success in your career (no matter what your career is), then Zig Ziglar is your man. Start by reading “Top Performance”, “Better Than Good", "Creating a Life You Can’t Wait to Live”, and then move on to “Goals: Setting and Achieving Them on Schedule".

  Jack Canfield

Most widely know for his Chicken Soup for the Soul series, Jack Canfield has several other books, and one on success in life and business that I think is excellent. It’s called “The Success Principles: How to Get from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be”.

  Dr. David Burns

This is really a GREAT book if you ever experience any type of depression or worry: “Feeling Good: the New Mood Therapy”.

  Verbal Judo by George Thompson

This is an excellent communication skills and negotiating skills book. George is a former cop turned high school teacher, and has some great techniques for everything from motivating a teenager, to diffusing volatile situations, to communicating more effectively with your spouse.

Another great communication skills and negotiating book is “How to Argue and Win Every Time” by Gerry Spence (Don’t let the word “argue” in the title fool you, this book is about finding solutions so everyone can win!).

  Stephen Covey

Another great author for those of you who want to do more, be more, and still find enjoyment and balance in all aspects of your life. His classic “the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” is a definite must-read for everyone who wants to be successful.
